Tucker Tire was established in 1956 by Donald and Rosemary Tucker.

Rosemary eventually bought the company, and with little business experience, soon developed Tucker Tire into a thriving, profitable business. In 1972, Rosemary was recognized for her business achievements by Jimmy Carter. In 1978, Rosemary was honored as a “Small Business Person of the Year” by the United States Small Business Administration.

Tom Tucker started working for the family business when he was 16 years old, running deliveries in his now iconic 1957 Ford Rancher before being drafted into the 1st Infantry Division. Jim Tucker started working at Tucker Tire Company when he was 18 years old.

In 1988, Tom and Jim bought the company from their mother. Tom’s daughter, Lisa, joined the company full time in 1993. “We are very proud of our family business,” says Tom and Jim.” Tucker Tire’s main focus is customer satisfaction, and our company philosophy is to create trust through honesty. The fact that our sales force has over 100 years combined experience speaks to the fact that we value our employees as much as we do our customers.”
