BEST COMMUNITY COLLEGE
Students often start community college with optimism, thinking, “All I have to do is complete my general education and, in two years, I’m done!”
While students regularly earn associate degrees and transfer to prestigious universities, some fail to do so within that two-year timeframe. And it’s hardest for those who place below college-level English and math, burdened with more remedial courses than they can carry.
Fortunately, at Citrus College, this has all changed.
Thanks to a new piece of legislation titled AB 705, community colleges can allow incoming students to enroll directly in transfer-level English and math courses. That’s great news, especially for students at Citrus College.
Citrus College is the first community college in the state to eliminate remedial English courses, and our math program launched a co-requisite support model for its statistics class, enabling students to enroll in math that counts toward a bachelor’s degree.
To date, we’re the only local college to have completely eliminated remedial courses and established a new, supported pathway. That’s why our English and math programs have received awards at the state level.
At Citrus College, you’ll learn from innovative faculty members who are leaders in their fields. Enroll now and be part of a higher education environment designed to help you succeed.
Save time and money – get your associate degree in two years. Your future is waiting!
